Ever since I was a kid growing up in New Jersey in the ’90s, I’ve always loved clothing and shoes. I loved hanging out at the mall on weekends and browsing through the classic J.Crew and Eastbay catalogs I got in the mail. Some of my favorite memories include trips to New York City with my parents and sister strolling through the busy streets of SoHo and the Village. I was fascinated by the unique and individual style of New Yorkers back then, and it was my dream to someday work in the city and be a part of that culture.
My dream of being a part of the New York fashion experience has certainly come true, though not exactly as I expected. Today, I live in the suburbs 25 miles outside of New York along with my wife, daughter and Yorkie. I work for a major global clothing retailer, and before the pandemic, I split my time between working at the headquarters in the city and traveling around the country visiting stores. I’ve also done some freelance sneaker writing for Jordan Brand, HighSnobiety, Complex and Eastbay the past five years and run a popular account called NikeStories on Instagram.
Like most people, life changed dramatically for my family and me early in 2020. Ever since the quarantine began in March, I’ve been working from home and have had plenty of time to reflect on the products I use and love on a daily basis. My goal on this site is to share some of those products - from clothing, to shoes, to coffee, to beer, to wine, to skincare - and talk about why I love them. Even though social media is bigger and the algorithms are more intelligent than ever, I’ve found it difficult to find accounts that cater to my specific tastes and interests. I hope this site will help fill that void and I look forward to sharing some of my passions and hobbies.
